The wnba is predominantly black and lesbian. Caitlan Clarke is white and heterosexual. Thats why all the players are hating on her. Period. Since she entered the league attendance has skyrocketed and it has benefited everyone, black or white or whatever ! Enjoy the ride before its derailed by jealousy and pettiness !

This Grl is so into herself she just wants to push anything that she wants to say. Always opposing always joining and always just speaking on a platform she can speak her mind because of all the people who paved her way. The fight is over and sorry you are so late to the party that you have to fight the fight that has the world's backing. Imagine that the majority are not against you. The majority want for you the majority advocate for you the majority want to set new standards. Now bring your game because that's all you have to hold up and maybe stop looking for difference in each other on the court:

Stephen Smith is a major clown. He doesn't even believe the words coming out of his mouth. If he does, he's not only a clown, he's a moron. He seems to default back to the tired old claim that Caitlyn Clark is generating buzz because she is white. Ignoring other variable to include the fact that she was maybe the most successful college player ever and her skills on the court are still above and beyond most of the caliber on WNBA players. To believe that society still has a long way to come, one would have to believe that society looks at Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and Lebron James as near gods because they great at basketball and white. Or that society looked at Tiger Woods as almost white, so decided to celebrate him and give him all the money in the world in the whitest sport known to man. Stop with the, "we have along way to go". Society came to that "long way to go" long ago. It's a worn out argument and there's no basis in facts to support it.

She is a racist! Angel Reese started all of this, to a fellow rookie too (which shows her true colors). Reese isn’t a Villain, Victim nor an above average power forward. Clark is the best well-rounded basketball player amongst the rookies and in a few years she’s far too superior for this league.

Stephen A. is riding the CC wave FOR HIMSELF! He’s marketing himself! What was implied but not discussed was if CC was chosen for the team a more deserving player would have not made the team - and would likely have missed winning a gold medal! The selection committee had a responsibility to choose the best players for the team and they did that!

Its just pure envy 24/7. They focus on Clarks supposed privilege yet they turn a blind eye to Vini Jr receiving anti-black racists chants on a weekly basis in Europe with dolls of him being hung on public bridges, bananas being tossed at him with thousands of people doing monkey gestures and FIFA does nothing but Clark gets a hip check and Sub-Saharans freakout because it went viral.

What i require from professional athletes, actors, musicians and any professional that i support with my finances is stfu and do your job. Don't lecture me and speak down to me. I am capable of thinking on my own, i know right from wrong. We can't agree on everything. What the WNBA should understand is they can't afford to alienate any fans. Attracting fans should be the league goal so they can get the pay the want. But of course they can't. The entitlement and ego in the WNBA is such that it creates a cocktail of toxicity that drives away fans. They have a golden goose that they will choke out of existence because the ego reigns supreme.

For many of us who followed basketball at all levels for decades, our introduction to the WNBA has been a rude awakening and a huge realization about what the problems have been. Over the years we have read and heard about it in the media. I guess they have been so isolated from fans and media that they slowly developed their own culture comprised of that of the players without any outside influence that would have impact on the desired product. It seems like the league commissioner and top level people, the owners, the coaches and even the refs are all substandard and let the players run the show. Maybe not "all", but the vast majority. It is difficult to watch. Then these college players show up, many from good programs with solid coaching and game fundamentals and a team first/win first mindset. They are in for a rude awakening having to deal with this handicapped league culture that is so unhealthy, built on fighting (refs?), blatant fouling (refs?), favoritism (coaches?), and schedules and crappy traveling in the past (league?). Race and sexuality are part of that culture that developed because the league has been so isolated and unfollowed for decades that there were no boundaries set for respect for accepting a variety of people. It became "us" vs the world. Now the world has shown up and it isn't a pleasant league or situation to watch. And the league, who desperately wanted the attention and acknowledgment thinks the world wants to see this mini dystopia they have created that has been in the making unscrutinized for so long. And that isn't what a mixed pot pubic wants to see. The pubic wants inclusion, acceptance of all and "teams" and NOT these subcultures that have existed so long. It's like being in "gangs" and if players are "in", they get treated ok. If they're not part of that, then retribution is what is coming. Those who resist are brow beat or locked out until they either succumb to the culture or leave. And where are the referees and coaches? The coaches encourage it and the refs have gotten so used to managing it that they have lost sight of what the game boundaries are. The WNBA is teetering on the brink of disaster. Maybe these are the final growing pains before the big "change" comes to make them finally relevant. Or it is the beginning of the end because once the public turns away this time, it will be next to impossible to ever get them back. So many relevant people are yelling that they are killing their big opportunity to finally gain the status they have wished for over decades. But they think they "deserve" to be accepted for this subculture that they have evolved into and when they aren't getting that acceptance, it's up to them whether or not they want to make the changes to become part of the sports world that so many athletes and fans enjoy. Or do they want to keep their small subculture of being a "gang" that determines who and what is acceptable and the fans have to bend the knee to them and accept it. It isn't going to happen that way. So chose. Make the adjustments or fail and crash and burn for the final time. The players chose to make the league what it was that no one watched. Not they get to chose if they want the success they have craved while making changes that fans will accept and follow them. But no one wants to follow the WNBA. That situation has been hammered home for many years. Sink or swim, WNBA.

Many at ESPN, many women, and many many people do NOT like the truth! They get stuck in their feelings and the DEI bulls***. Shannon and Steven A. are 💯 correct on this topic! Nobody cares about the WNBA, which is why it is subsidized by the NBA. For the first time, the WNBA has someone who has star power and is drawing eyeballs, and they (WNBA) choose their "feelings" over business! When no one watches the women's Olympic basketball team, just don't complain and cry about it. I'm tired of women and woke idiots complaining about unequal pay when they can't make smart business decisions!
